Towards the end of June our Managing Director and Technical Director traveled to Amsterdam to spend 3 days at the Electric and Hybrid Marine World Expo 2016. With over 150 companies displaying and 3,000 attendees it was a great way for them to meet like minded people, make potential business contacts and most predominantly, a chance to see some of the amazing developments currently being made in this field.
‘It’s been so incredibly busy. There’s clearly huge demand for electric and hybrid propulsion systems – and the technology evolution in the 12 months since last year’s show is something to behold. I think it’s fair to say that the marine industry is advancing and adopting electric and hybrid systems at a far faster rate than any other industry at present!’

There was a lot on show that highlighted how far hybrid technology has progressed, especially within the marine sector and it was definitely an experience to be a part of it.
Leading the Way
We had lots of interest in our Lithium Ion products, particularly our Battery Management System. We also made some promising connections, many of whom we are currently in talks with or have already begun development for.
Our team came away with a refreshed enthusiasm for hybrid technology and are now even more determined than ever to launch our Lithium Ion products into the marine sector.
The next exhibition we are attending is the Professional Motorsport World Expo in Cologne, between the 9th and 11th of November 2016. We are very excited to see the advances being made within the motorsport world, having seen how far the marine sector has developed at this exhibition.
If you are attending this exhibition we’d be delighted if you came to see us, so watch this space for updates in the run up to November!
